The project, sponsored by the Bank of Italy, aims to provide regional (16 regions) annual industrial value added estimates (15 industrial sectors) at 1911 prices, for the 1861-1913 period.  The project includes three volumes co-authored with Stefano Fenoaltea.

The authors aim is to describe as carefully as possible how the final estimates were obtained starting from the available historical sources, and to provide a quantitative base for the analysis of industrial development in Italy's regions from the Country's Unification (1861) to the eve of World War One.
